Videos of The Week:Razorlight spoof, SFII, Star Wars…

Posted by Niall Byrne on January 23rd, 2009
  1. Razorlight spoof
UK comedian Ben Taylor has created a hilarious parody of Johnny Borrell and co. which spoofs their hit ‘America’. The lyrics centre on Borrell’s preoccupation on the war. Sample line: “When the war is this hi-res / it’s difficult to ignore”.
  2. Shine on, you crazy diamond
Chris Dane Owens is an artist looking for your attention, judging by this batty sci-fi romantic-fantasy music video shot in the style of a Hollywood blockbuster. Someone should tell him his “androgynous Lord of the Rings elf crossed with Vonda Shepard” is a not a good look this year..
  3. Star Wars redux
The original trilogy as told by someone who has never seen the films before.
  4. Play Streetfighter II on Youtube
This might be the most creative use of Youtube yet. Play a level of the game with a combination of up to 100 Youtube videos.

[...] you seen the Razorlight spoof? That hilarious video along with sites, links and videos of the week appear in Day and Night [...]

  2. I have it under good authority that the comedian behind “Preoccupied by the War” is Thomas Nelstrop. Ben was the director.

    Peace out x
